Brazilian football legend Pelé has passed away at the age of 82 after many health problems. His daughter confirmed the news on Instagram, saying: “All we are is because of you. We love you infinitely. Rest in peace”

Pelé was diagnosed with colon cancer last year and had a tumor removed from his colon in September of 2021. A year later he had to go back to the hospital because of metastases and unfortunately he never left the hospital.

Edson Arantes do Nascimento, as Pelé was known in full, was one of the greatest footballers of all time. He became world champion three times with Brazil and played almost his entire career in his home country with Santos. He scored 767 goals in official matches and a whopping 1281 if you add friendly matches to that.
